Monthly Security and Fire Drills
Parents/Guardians,

In order to establish a school environment that promotes a safe learning atmosphere all district schools will participate in monthly security and fire drills throughout the school year.

In the event that you see large groups of students walking, they will be participating in the mandatory state drill.

Each drill makes our students safer and better prepared in the event of a real emergency.

Yours in Education,

Michael A. Mastroserio
SHS Recognized As Top-Performing High School
Dear Parents/Guardians,

The Spotswood Public Schools are proud to celebrate the achievement of Spotswood High School for being named #3 statewide in our District Factor Group which represents 83 school districts. In an Inside Jersey article appearing in the Star-Ledger, Spotswood High School was recognized as one of “New Jersey’s Top-Performing High Schools” based on our students’ scores on the Grade 11 High School Proficiency Assessment.  SHS students performed at high levels in mathematics, reading, and writing after having completed effective programs of test preparation imbedded within strong curricula.  We are very proud of our faculty, support staff and students accomplishments!

Respectfully,

Dr. Walter A. Uszenski
Superintendent of Spotswood
